That's called Indianization

It's widespread that The Incredibles was a huge hit in US. It was bound to happen... I repeat again, PIXAR RULES :-) After its successful run in US, The Incredibles is ready to hit India with bang... Hindi version of the movie named Hum hain Lajawaab, stars Shahrukh Khan, his son and Javed Jaffari. According to me the only reason to choose SRK for voicing is to make this movie more popular. Disney knows how to earn profit (Refer to my previous article subjected "Toy story will be spoiled" ). Anyways.. some interesting facts about Hum Hain Lajawaab

Here are the name of characters :
Bob Parr - Baldeo Parr (SRK)
Frozone - Barfila
'Dash' - Tez(Apparently so, because Dash is very fast!!!)
Mirage - Mona(couldn't have been better name for this character :-) )

Rediff mentions "Jaaved has also written the Hindi script". My God... what would happen to the dialgoues...??? Does anyone recall "Stuart Little" in hindi?? "Rajma kha ke hazma kharab ho gaya", "Kabhi khushi kabhi gam, kabhi zyada kabhi kam". Although it spoiled fun of the original dialogues for some people, but I feel it was well suited for Indian audience. Personally speaking, I had enjoyed movie at that point of time. Shahrukh Khan was quoted saying "Unfortunately, I must admit, for all of us sitting here, the English version still sounds better", but this modified version is better suited for Indian audience who may be unaware of many references in US context.

Here is rediff coverage of promotional event of the movie

Toy Story will be spoiled...

It's official now. In greed of money, Disney has decided to go for "Toy Story 3" (courtesy:- Rediff) and I tell you this movie is going to SUCK!!!

It's widely known fact that Pixar is splitting with disney. "The Incredibles" is the second last movie of Pixar with Disney with Cars(2005) being last. Here is the long story short.

Pixar Animation Studio, when started was a very small affair. Encouraged by Steve Jobs, Pixar eventually became bigger and bigger with their wonderful animations and fabulous movies. Now Pixar is animation studios, so it doesn't do the job of distributing the movies, so they had done contract with disney and disney would market and distribute the movies. With only distributing stuff, Disney was eating up most of the part from profits (75% as far as I remember). Obviously Pixar deserved much more than this, but negotiations didn't go well and finally they decided to split. NOW, the thing is, as great movies of Pixar like, Toy Story 1 & 2, Monsters Inc. , Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, a Bug's life are made under Disney banner, Disney has right over the movies and characters of the movies, so they are planning sequel of Toy Story. With background of Pixar Both Toy Story movies were simply superb, BUT NOW, I wonder from where would disney get such wonderful animation studios to fulfill the expectations and it will not be par with first two parts, IMHO

Disney Sucks...
Pixar Rocks...

PIXAR doesn't disappoint...!!!

The Incredibles opens with 70M$ on opening weekend. In past works, PIXAR has not disappointed viewers, All past 6 movies of PIXAR has proved great at boxoffice, so obviously expectations were high. The reviews till now has been very favourable. People and critics are praising this movie like anything. Predictions say that its gross will be more than that of Finding Nemo (339 M$), but may not cross Shrek2 (436 M$), which is highest for any animated movie, although Finding Nemo rules when International earnings are considered. Statistics aside, Another interesting aspect is that Disney has decided to dub this movie in Hindi for Indian release and it will be released on 17th December (along with Swades) and dubbing artists for the movie are Shahrukh Khan, his son Aryan and Javed Jaffery. Of course, Disney is targetting larger audience.

At IMDb, around 2000 votes till now has earned respectable weighted average of 8.6 for the movie. In the case of 250, its current rank is 205 and rating of 7.8(!!!!!), but I personally think that movie will end up in top 100 as the time passes. Let's see, what the future has in for it. I am dying to watch the movie, I am definitely going to see this in the hall as soon as it releases over here. I may have to hold my temptation if DVDrip comes to LAN sooner than that ;-)
